Joe and Yvonne (wedding)
You know, I love all my couples, and I absolutely ADORE wedding days, but there was really something special about Joe and Yvonne’s. Both of them were so unpredictable, and unexpected, and creative, and deep, and caring, and a bit crazy. And all in the most beautiful way.
The morning started off as any wedding morning should, calm, peaceful, with a touch of wistful excitement and anticipation in the air.
Yvonne, was so relaxed and carefree, always thinking of others. The utter definition of a barefoot bride in my opinion.
There was so much laughter that morning, and so many stories, and jokes. It was such a party, and was so good for the soul. Seriously though, I haven’t laughed that hard in a long long time.
Also, can we talk about their rose gold ring set? I am absolutely obsessed with it! Why not wear rose gold on your man?
And also her bouquet? It was so beautiful and bursting with color, and had all the fall vibes that I LOVE!
Joe told me that he as nervous to take pictures, that he felt awkward in front of the camera, but on his wedding day, I found the opposite to be true. He seemed so comfortable and relaxed, and even a bit goofy, which made it so easy and fun for me.
Also, he played chess with his nephew the morning before, which I thought was the most darling thing.
The Ceremony.
It was lovely, and intimate. Full of sweet moments, laughter, and a few tears.
Joe and Yvonne shared a little bit of their story with me during our meeting.
They were both at a time in their life of major surrender. Yvonne was surrendering her wants and desires to Jesus, and Joe was in a terrifying accident that forced him to revaluate his life and what was important to him.
Through that experience he decided to join Christian Mingle, one of the dreams of his heart was to fall in love, and get married, and start a family. So joining an online dating site was a step of faith for him, and one of the ways that he was pursuing what was important to him, and being intentional about his life.
He reached out to Yvonne, having no idea if it would go anywhere, and it took her about a month to reply back. They decided to meet up, and it’s been history from there.
The Reception.
It was full of fun, complete with an amish dinner, dancing, games, gifts, cake, cards, and laughter. Also the sun decided to peek out the tiniest bit during golden hour. It was absolutely gorgeous!
What an absolutely gorgeous lovely day.
I came away feeling so full, and fulfilled, and happy. Also they gave me a bunch of eucalyptus to take home, so that was amazing.
I love wedding days, I love the stories behind them, all the incredible moments, all the laughter, the love. They truly are such an amazing experience. I feel so honored to be the one to capture such special moments in a persons life.
Thanks again so so much, Joe and Yvonne!
xoxo
